The Rested Message
1128 Collection & The Rested Message
The 1128 Collection is based firmly on Matthew 11:28 which says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” 1128 is a nod to the promise of total & complete rest that God has reserved for His children. Hebrews 4 speaks about rest against the backdrop of the Israelites journey to the Promised Land. But surprisingly illustrates that even though God’s purpose was for the nation to arrive in the promised land of their own, free from their former life of bondage in Egypt, it was not the ultimate rest He had in store for them.
The kind of rest He planned for them could not be accomplished with soil, but deep soul satiation. That rest would only come through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Just like Israel, it doesn’t matter where you go, or what you acquire possession of. None of those things will ever achieve the rest that only Christ can bring to life. To enter into this rest one must do so through faith, obedience, trust, & surrender to God.
To become completely reliant on Him for everything. For the big things—Relationships. Finances. Purpose. Destiny. Dreams. And the “small” things—where you live, what you eat, what you wear, what you spend your free time doing, what you listen to, even how you think.
Forever rest doesn’t follow a nap or vacation. It’s a symptom of complete reliance in Him.
